Leathery wings flutter
Glowing pumpkins grin mischievously
Giddy children rush eagerly from door to door
Questing for sugary confections
Their outfits range from adorable to awful
A million Draculas crowd the street
All happily crying Trick or Treat!
And here I am
Walking by silently
Invisible among them
My scythe on my shoulder
My cloak round my feet
My face paler than the moon above my head
Another Death, a Grim Reaper among many
Lights flicker as I pass
A little kid rushes by screaming Nice costume
I grin broadly, my dark eyes glinting softly
A car rushes by
The boy cries out, the sound of crunching bone fills the air
People rush to the scene in a swarm of emotion
I silently walk away, one death among many
No one would guess I was the only real one
